How can we ensure fresh food to urban populations?
Can children raised in high-density housing experience green spaces and agriculture?
How can we reduce food waste through better infrastructure?

In observance of UN Sustainable Development Goals 11 and 12, The Farm Table was designed as a response to food sparsity throughout Covid-19, decreased mental health in high-density, green-space lacking residencies, and unnecessary food waste prevalent with foods such as herbs.
The result is a kitchen bench that provides homes with access to fresh, home grown food, with an incorporation of biophilic design to these otherwise heavily industrial and nature free environments.

Prior to the design process of The Farm Table, I undertook primary and secondary research to understand if there was a need for the table, utilizing surveys and data readings to additionally determine what features I could incorporate to better suit the needs of my target users.
